GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation and replaces the previous Data Protection Directives that were in place. It was approved by the EU Parliament in 2016 and comes into effect on 25th May 2018.

We are committed to protecting your personal information when you use our site. We will ask for your permission to store your contact data and information about your organisation for business purposes only.

This privacy policy is for the website www.justcrb.co.uk and explains how any data we collect from you will be processed by us.

We are the sole owners of the data collected on this site so your information will not be shared with any third party.

We only process personal data that has been submitted to us and your personal data is not shared.

Once a check has been carried out your personal data is archived.

GDPR states that personal data should be ‘processed fairly & lawfully’ and ‘collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes’ and that individuals data is not processed without their knowledge and are only processed with their ‘explicit’ consent.

GDPR covers personal data relating to individuals. JustCRB LLP is committed to protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals with respect to the processing of personal data. The Data Protection Act gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them and ensures that personal information is handled properly. JustCRB LLP is registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) since the 29th March 2018, registration reference: ZA330802.

What details do we collect?

In order to process a check we require an applicant to provide the following personal data when completing a DBS application form: full name, date of birth, town and country of birth, NI number, driving licence number (if applicable), valid passport details (if applicable) and a full 5 year address history.

We also require contact details (phone number and email address) together with financial information (debit or credit card details). This information is used for billing purposes and to complete your order request. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

Payment card details are encrypted and processed securely.

Right of access

Individual applicants can request information from us relating to their data and we aim to respond within 48 hours.

The right to processing data

Your data is processed by us based on your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time.

How our Organisation proctects data

We have appropriate technical controls in place eg SSL website security and we do not share your information with a third party.

We do not keep copies of application forms on file and only retain the information required to assist with any processing queries: application form reference number, name, address and date of birth.
